Makita BHR240Z
The Makita BHR240Z and BHR241Z are great little rotor hammers. I've used many different corded rotor hammers and was impressed by this cordless one. It has three modes, drill, hammer drill and hammer only. I was very impressed with the hammer only mode. While it will drill a 7/8" or even larger holes, if you have very many, you should get a larger, corded model.
