Have owned this machine for about three months and have put together a few projects mostly 1/4" angle iron. I have also cut through 4" round steel with no problem. Power will never be a problem the way it is geared and does have variable speed. No tool quick blade change is nice. It runs just like Millwaukee tool I have used.
